Hey friends, This time I am come up with my real experience in Jaipur, which taught me many lessons of possibilities can be there when your luck is not with you. Also, I had an experience of a lifetime which I would like to share all of you so you can take care of those things which I had experienced but that was not part of my plan.
A business meeting scheduled on 25 January 2020, Saturday at Jaipur, Vaishali Nagar. I booked an OYO Room, Somewhere near National Handloom, I was completely relaxed because the meeting was going well after meeting we had planned for drinks and dinner. Really that evening was going so good and I was enjoying the evening with chilled beer and some good and fun-loving people’s company.
It’s 12:30 now drinks and dinner is done, to be very honest I had 2 bottles of beer, thanks to god I didn’t exceed my capacity otherwise I won’t be able to the situation which is waiting for me next. After complete the dinner, I took a cab and leave for my Hotel which was a maximum of 10 minutes far from the meeting place. So the time was 12:50 and I reached the destination but unfortunately, I left the cab before check the hotel situation.
I just moved towards the hotel and I saw the main was locked and all lights were off in front of the hotel. That was little wired But After 2 bottles of beer, my brain was working a little slower than normal. It took 2-3 minutes to understand the situation “WHAT THE FUCK” is going on here. Right those my first words when I realized something is wrong. I had a laptop bag on my shoulder and smartphone(Red MI Note8 Pro) only 15 Days Old and I called to the reception phone but no one picked the phone even I tried 3-4 times. Well, that was not good at all. After 2 minutes 2 boys come and also tried to call hotel staff, I don’t know they were guests or not but they leave within 2-3 minutes.
I started shouting on Make My Trip where I booked this fucking hotel, Now one of the Make My Trip Representative suggest me to do all those things like Call on reception, shout loudly which I had done already. Then I asked him a solution I told him that I am standing aside of the road at 1:30 AM Night in an unknown city. Guess What did he advice me? He told me to move and find another hotel within the budget and we will compensate for the difference amount. Actually I was drunk and not able to walk and talk too much but after that weird advice, I was helpless. Yes, I also tried to call my business partner but he was also drunk and stayed his relative house.
Around 2:00 I found a hotel near my location and I walked alone with my laptop on my shoulder with all the fear in my mind that this is not good at all. In a new hotel, I entered the lobby and feel relax and safe at least. I request them for a room but they asked extra charges which was too much for a single night also over my budget. I connected with Make My Trip again and asked them to settle this fuckup thing on their own. But I was not able to walk anymore. So Already make up my mind to stay there. And done the formalities but I thing was ticking in my mind, What if I came up with family or girlfriend. The hotel’s irresponsible behavior causes the risk of our life. and these travel portal can’t control those missing happing which can be possible from their irresponsibilities.
Please Note: Make My Trip suggest me to check MMT Assured mark before booking the hotel on their website, I mean what the logic this I didn’t understand If they are not safe and good hotel then why you have listed them on your website. Why customer should take a chance to book that kind of stupid and risky hotel.
Well, that was my experience.
